In April 18 to 20 we will be downtown Greenville with the 2008
Artisphere. Which we will be participating with 10 other non-profit
organizations for a donation towards our funds.

Some events have become a staple in the organization’s annual
agenda, as well as in the Upstate, such as the July Colombian
Independence Day Festival; where various AHAM members
dressed in typical folkloric attire and join in on the celebration of a
festivity that attracts more than 12,000 spectators.

AHAM began celebrating the Hispanic Heritage Month on Saturday,
September 17, 2005 at the Hughes Library in downtown Greenville,
SC from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. by demonstrating folkloric attire, artistic
displays, visual presentations of music and dances, and delicious
dishes from different countries.

During the Hispanic Heritage Month from September through
October , AHAM partakes in the celebration with organizations like
the Greenville Library System and Furman University, bringing a
little of each member’s country through savory dishes, dances,
musical and artistic presentations.  AHAM has become a cultural
bridge for the English speaking community.

Since October 2005 the members of AHAM have delighted the Staff
Faculty and Students of Furman University with delicious desserts
from their native countries.

Every year, AHAM visits Elementary and High Schools to present
cultural programs from different countries upon request.
