Why AHAM?
A
ACTIVAS
We are an active member of the community. We participate in events in the school system, like lunch & learns, in partnership with Hispanic Alliance. We partner with organizations, like United Way, to help families with basic necessities. We care about informing the Hispanic community of events, workshops that are beneficial and important to them. We want to be a beneficial resource to our community. We also volunteer for Greenville city events, like Fall for Greenville & Artisphere. You can always find one of our members actively participating in an event, either helping the community, or bringing awareness of our organization.
H
HONORABLES
We are an organization that has existed since 1999, running through the generous volunteerism of the community, including our executive staff, most of which hold full-time positions. We are a key partner in the community & have seen exponential growth in the last few years. We are passionate about making an impact in our local community & driven to make progress & evolve where needed so we can make an even greater impact.
A
ARMONIOSAS
We are a diverse organization that welcomes women & men of all ages & experience. As of today, we have 60+ members (socias) that are a part of our AHAM. This year is the largest membership count ever and we know it is because they believe & are committed to AHAM's mission & want to drive the organization forward. We are not only a group of members, we treat each other like family & care to see each other succeed & grow, capitalizing on each person's greatest talents!
M
MULTICULTURALES
We are a trusted organization. We have been improving & refining our operations year after year. In 1999, we awarded 1 scholarship of $1,000. Currently, we have awarded more than $400K in scholarships & impacted more than 170 students. In the past 8 years, we've had more than 70 unique organizations or individuals sponsor our organization. All types of organizations believe in AHAM's mission, including universities, schools, large corporations, law firms, and other non-profits. Our sponsorship numbers keep growing each year and we are ecstatic for the future! And while we are impacting our students, we are also passionate about promoting our Hispanic culture!
